Winemaking:

100% destemmed, fermented in 1.5T open-top fermenters, manual punchdowns. 17 months in barrel – 14% new French oak.

The use of French oak barrels is new to the Syrah program – after trials ended up being bottled in the ‘reserve’ blend in 2021, more of these barrels were brought into the cellar for the vintage bottling.

Tasting Notes:

Delicious tension throughout this wine – from black olive to blackberry, there is great breadth of flavor. Harmonious balance of sweet, savory, earth, and spice. For having so many complex flavors and aromas, this syrah is still very approachable and will reward any consumer.
